The map below shows the identified schools along the project site.

  1. Stakeholder Consultation
Stakeholder consultations for the school was conducted during the baseline survey, where during the baseline survey, the management of the schools were informed about the project owner, partners as well as the approach of the project implementation.
  2. Training of Trainers (ToT) of RIVER Ranger and SMART Ranger
Surveyed schools were evaluated through the survey questionnaires and requested to choose the programmes they are interested to be involved i.e. RIVER Ranger or SMART Ranger Programme.
Schools were informed during the baseline survey that invitation letter to attend the training of trainers (ToT) of RIVER Ranger and SMART Ranger under the River of Life Public Outreach Programme (RoL PoP) will be circulated early next year to kick start the project.
  3. Selection of 10 Schools
Approximately 20 schools including Sekolah Agama from the project zone will be invited to attend the proposed programmes; RIVER Ranger and SMART Ranger Training of Trainer (ToT) (first quarter of 2013). After the completion of the RIVER Ranger/SMART Ranger Training of Trainer (ToT), the schools will be asked to propose an action plan to be implemented in the school/surrounding areas.
  4. Follow up and Evaluation
10 best schools will be selected to be funded and technical support will be provided for the schools to implement their action plans. They will then be evaluated from their performance, achievement and commitment in implementing the proposed action plan. Throughout the implementation stage, the schools will be evaluated twice, end of year 2013 (year 1 evaluation) and second quarter of year 2 (2014).
